Jacob (coin case) / Natural (Belgian tanned leather)
This is a type of leather made in France by a long-established company, known as French tanned leather. It has a firm finish and a clear top film on the surface, making it relatively resistant to dirt. It is a top-quality product that changes to a beautiful amber color with use.
The button snaps are made in Japan with high precision, using white gold-plated brass, and fasten securely with a satisfying click.
The edges of the leather are processed using a technique called cut processing, which makes them more durable than leather with turned edges. Even if the edges deteriorate, it is possible to repair them in some cases, and they are given a beautiful, smooth matte finish during the manufacturing process.
The coin case has been designed with clever stitching to give it a slightly bulging shape.
The name Jacob comes from the scallop shell design, which is the symbol of the Christian apostle James. In French, the scallop shell is called "Saint James' shell," so the name was chosen.
